After taking this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Perform stakeholder analysis with a variety of diagrams, approaches and techniques
  2. Identify gaps: understanding current and future states of the business/solution
  3. Use scope documentation for planning purposes
  4. Determine which business analysis approach to take and the impacts on planning
  5. Determine what activities are needed and what deliverables should be produced
  6. Differentiate between the planning a business analyst does and that of the project manager
  7. Prioritize requirements, determine risks, and understand how they impact planning
  8. Plan, estimate, and communicate business analysis work
  9. Apply business analysis metrics

Please note that while this course will thoroughly cover the philosophy and concepts in the BABOK® it is not designed to serve as an exam preparation course.

CBAP or the courses: Introduction to Business Analysis and Requirements Elicitation and Scope, or a thorough understanding of the competencies in those courses.
